Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe, a British-Nigerian mixed race child was born into a family in South London. Her father is Nigerian-Swiss as is her mom who's English. She was raised on a south London community estate, where she attended The Brit School at age 14. At the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art was where she received an acting BA. She appeared on stage in numerous productions during her time at school including the King Henry V, as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe began acting with Storm Damage. She has appeared as an actor for Teachers Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film appearance was Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), opposite Colin Farrell. Following that success, she played Elisha in the single-episode BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN as well as appearing in the six episodes of Trexx and Flipside playing Ollie. She also landed the role as Bambi on The ITV2 drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl and was featured in the episodes two and three. Madekwe also starred as the main character on How to lose friends & alienate people and be apathetic, which premiered on Sony Pictures Entertainment in 2008. Her theatre credits are Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams as well as Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe officially made her US debut in the series The Beautiful Life in 2009. The show ran just two episodes at The CW, and was later ended. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge in February of 2011. Madekwe appeared in all episodes of the show's initial two seasons as the show's regular. But in May of 2013, it was announced that news broke that Madekwe will leave the show after her guest appearance in the premiere episode of its third season. She played Tituba in the show Salem between 2014 and. Madekwe and her boyfriend who has been with her for a long time, Iddo Goldenberg, were wedding in June of 2012. Both of them have been in Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They also starred as a couple in Salem.
Ashley Leggat, an actress nominated twice for a Gemini Award, is a member of an extensive Hamilton family. Ashley Leggat joined Roy and Patty as well her older siblings, Brett, Todd and Bram as well as Rob. Ashley's sports brothers played baseball in summer and hockey during winters. Ashley did not walk; instead, she was a dancer. When she was two and a half, she was introduced to Baby Ballet. Ashley was captivated by dance when she was just a few years old. Ashley was a competitive dancer across all major divisions until she finished high school. The competitions she participated in included jazz, tap, ballet and pointe, as well as acrobatics. All of the major dance festivals, like International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance which have awarded her the honor of "top soloist".
