
Adele Mara (April 28, 1923 until May 7 10th, 2010) was an American singer, actress and dancer who appeared in films in the 1940s and 1950s, and in television during the 1950s and 1960s and later on. Adele St. Mara was her name professionally. She received the Columbia Pictures contract [citation required.And she gained expertise in the studio's comedy shorts , as well as "B" features. Then, she was changed to Adele Mara. Mara was receptionist in Three Stooges' film I Can Hardly Wait. Mara Brooks as well as Leslie Brooks portrayed the sisters in Rita Hayworth's character in Fred Astaire's film You Were Never Lovelier. Brooks plays Alias Boston Blackie (1942) in the role of the sister of an innocently accused and freed convict. The film was released by Republic Pictures after her Columbia contract was ended. She was employed in westerns and outdoor adventures. She appeared in The Vampire's Ghost, Wake of the Red Witch featuring John Wayne, Angel In Exile (leading woman), Sands of Iwo Jima where John Agar is the lover, California Passage, and Don Siegel's Count the Hours.
